Deglaze alternatives
Deglaze is a good app. If you are here, it is usually for one of three reasons: the subscription came up for renewal, you hit the free-tier limit, or you want your recipes somewhere you can get them back out of.
This page is a roundup, not a pitch. We make one of the apps on it and we will say so plainly — but if another one fits you better, that is a better outcome than a refund in three weeks.
Why people look
- The price. At $49.99/yr it is a real subscription, and a recipe box is a hard thing to justify renewing if you have not cooked from it lately.
- The free tier runs out. The first 20 imports are free, then it drops to roughly three a week — which is the point most people start looking.
- Getting your recipes out. Export is a standing, unmet request in Deglaze's own reviews. If you want your library portable, that is the thing to check before you commit anywhere.
- You only wanted the import. Meal planning and household sharing are real features, but you pay for them whether or not you use them.

The options
What switching actually costs you
- There is no bulk export out of Deglaze. Whatever you move to, you are re-importing from the original posts by hand. If you have hundreds saved, be honest with yourself about whether that happens.
- Your meal plan does not come with you. Wrap has no planner at all, and it is out of scope rather than coming soon.
- Household sharing does not come with you unless you pick something that has it. Wrap does not.
- Reviews and ratings are a real signal. Deglaze has thousands; Wrap has none yet. Wanting to wait for a track record is a reasonable position, not a failure of nerve.
Questions
What is the closest thing to Deglaze?
ReciMe, on features — it does the same social-video import and adds Android. Wrap is the closest on the import itself while being free today and letting you copy recipes out. Paprika and Mela are a different category: excellent recipe managers, weaker at video.
Can I move my recipes from Deglaze automatically?
No, and no app on this page can do it for you. There is no bulk export to import from. Anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing.
Is there a free Deglaze alternative?
Wrap is free while we are new, with no account needed to start. We are not promising free forever — a paid tier is coming — but nothing you have already saved gets taken away or locked behind it. Paprika and Mela are one-time purchases rather than subscriptions, which is a different kind of cheap.
Which of these work on Android?
Only ReciMe. Deglaze, Wrap and Mela are Apple-only; Paprika has an Android app but is sold per platform. If Android is a requirement, that narrows it fast.
Do any of them read the recipe out of the video itself?
Deglaze, ReciMe and Wrap all read more than the caption — the voiceover and text burned into the video. Expect broadly comparable results on the same Reel; anyone claiming a decisive gap is selling something.
